Privacy Policy

Last updated May 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Snowtrek collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our websites and the Service. We designed Snowtrek to collect as little personal data as we can while still doing its job.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, work email, and organization details you provide.
  • Repository metadata: commit messages, pull request titles, and authors pulled from connected sources. Snowtrek has read-only access and never writes to your code.
  • Usage data: product events and diagnostics used to operate and improve the Service.
  • Billing data: handled by our payment processor; we never store full card numbers.

2. How we use information

We use your information to provide and secure the Service, to communicate with you about your account, to provide support, and to improve our product. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your repository content to train external models.

3. Sharing

We share data only with sub-processors that help us run the Service, under contract and confidentiality obligations. See our Sub-processors page for the current list. We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Data retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation, you can export your data for 30 days, after which we delete or anonymize it within 90 days unless a longer period is legally required.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can exercise most of these directly in your account settings, or by emailing support@snowtrek.dev.

6. Security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, scope access on a least-privilege basis, and review our practices regularly. See our Security page for details.
